Rebecca is a graduate of both Monash University (Bachelor of Health Science) and La Trobe University (Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Podiatric Practice). She is registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia/ Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a proud member of The Australian Podiatry Association (MApodA) which keeps her informed and up to date with the latest in podiatry and healthcare.
Rebecca completed her Masters of Podiatric Practice at La Trobe University in 2015. Early in her career Rebecca worked as part of an outreach team in rural New South Wales servicing remote communities, including many patients with complex medical conditions. More recently she has been seeing patients of all ages and abilities across regional and metropolitan Melbourne. In 2020 she moved to the Dandenong Ranges, where she enjoys the outdoor lifestyle, and in March 2021, Rebecca acquired Bigfoot Clinical Podiatry (at the time known as The Podiatry Workshop) and has since been the managing director and principal podiatrist in the growing podiatry clinic.
Rebecca has a keen interest in the management of musculoskeletal pain and injury. She is trained in dry needling, prolotherapy, and other advanced techniques to ensure her patients make an effective recovery and maintain continued foot health.
Special interests include:
Treating musculoskeletal issues of the lower limb in adults and children
Performing nail surgery to treat and prevent painful ingrown toenails
Prescription of orthotic devices and Medical Grade Footwear
Diabetes foot assessment, management and education
Primary foot care (general care for nails and skin, health promotion, prevention, early intervention, treatment of acute conditions, and management of chronic conditions).
