Paula is an adventurous Occupational Therapist who is extremely passionate about supporting young people to develop foundational skills that build confidence, resilience, and independence to have a high quality and enjoyable life. Paula has training and follows best practice with assessments and intervention related to concerns with sensory processing, emotional regulation, motor and social skills. She values the power of facilitating intervention that is engaging and motivating to each individual child and spends time finding interests to achieve this! Paula enjoys being creative with ensuring intervention complements home and school programs. Paula’s has a passion for working with children and teenagers, and is extremely interested in a trauma-informed approach and how the environment can support skill building and recovery. This stems from her own active life loving surfing and the regulation provided by being in the ocean.
