Ms Nicole Guse (Psychologist)

Nicole is a registered psychologist who has been working in the field for 13 years. She has experience working with young people from the age of 10 years to older adults. Nicole’s background includes working in the area of forensic psychology, expanding into private practice eight years ago.

Nicole has experience in working with a diversity of presentations and concerns from supporting general well being to severe and complex mental health presentations. Some of her areas of experience includes: anxiety, depression, anger, aggression and violence, relationships, self-esteem, social skills, self-harm and suicide, grief and loss, sleep problems, substance use, developmental disorders, trauma, and offending behaviours. Her main therapeutic frameworks are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and evidence based body interventions. Additionally, Nicole is also trained in other frameworks and integrates these into individual intervention as appropriate.

Nicole has qualifications as a Child and Family Yoga Teacher, 200hr Yoga Teacher Training qualification and is continue to enhancing her knowledge in yoga interventions by completing training as a Yoga Therapist. Nicole integrates techniques from yoga into her own life as well as her practice, as there is an increasing body of evidence showing its efficacy. Therefore she believes integrating techniques from this ancient practice can enhance people’s lives.

Nicole deeply believes in the power of creative and nature based activities. She creates space in her own life to support her own positive flow, through enjoying hiking, yoga, music and the flow arts.
