Muradiye Selvi is a Senior Consultant and Principal Psychologist with over 30 years of experience working in the mental health field and was the first Turkish–speaking Psychologist in private practice. She currently runs a busy multicultural and bilingual psychological services in Coburg Melbourne.
Her earlier jobs involved working at Royal Park Hospital and the Victorian Transcultural Psychiatry Unit, extensively studying the prevalence of mental health disorders within ethnic communities. She is also experienced as a health and welfare officer, disability worker, and a trainer and supervisor of telephone counsellors for Melbourne Life-Line.
Muradiye Selvi is also active in the business community and was the first female to be asked to join the Australian Turkish Business Council ATBC. She has served on the Board as a Vice president for the past 4 years and in April 2017 was elected as the first female President of the Australian Turkish Business Council.
