Ms Michelle Fisher is an experienced Clinical Psychologist. She has had extensive experience in the public sector and is currently working in the private sector. She has more than 20 years’ clinical experience in hospitals, medical centres, community health centres, in corporate (EAP) and educational settings (TAFE and University). Michelle worked for the NSW Police Force for seven years as a clinical psychologist, treating officers with a range of disorders, particularly Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Having gained extensive experience working with a vast range of psychological disorders, Michelle aims to provide an empathic and supportive treatment environment, where the focus is on teaching practical psychological strategies to overcome psychological problems such as anxiety disorders, PTSD, depression, eating disorders and low self-esteem. Michelle uses a range of therapies to best suit the client, these include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Hypnotherapy, Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). By using the latest scientifically validated treatments, clients can achieve excellent clinical outcomes. Michelle is also a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society, is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a SIRA approved psychologist.
