Ms Liana Shaw (Clinical Psychologist)

Liana is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in a variety of mental health and school settings. Her main area of expertise is the assessment and treatment of teenagers and young adults who are experiencing emotional and social difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress, life transition and adjustment issues, low self-esteem, anger, and grief & loss. Liana also works with adolescents experiencing school-based concerns including academic/school stress and pressure, friendship issues, and bullying. Liana aims to create a collaborative, warm, respectful and empathic environment to ensure her clients feel supported and empowered to make the changes required for a rich, full, and meaningful life. Liana uses a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based strategies, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address her client’s particular concerns. Liana is also able to provide cognitive and educational assessments on request.
