Kate graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor in Health Science (Complementary Medicine) and Masters of Osteopathy. The combination of Kate’s love for sport and her own battles to overcome various injuries drives her interest in Osteopathy. Kate is originally from Gippsland but made the move to the coast in 2009. She enjoys surfing, running, golfing and generally living an active lifestyle.
Kate has previously worked with Melbourne AFL and athletics clubs and enjoys the challenge of helping people get back to sport and hobbies. Kate worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist for 4 years before graduating, giving her extensive experience in the treatment of soft tissue injuries and back pain.
Kate’s passion is in understanding the anatomy and fundamental biomechanics behind a person’s issue. She uses a range of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, manipulation, dry needling, lifestyle/exercise advice, and rehabilitation. Kate enjoys treating all types of conditions – from foot pain to back pain and headaches.
Kate also holds a Clinical Pilates qualification with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. She is the founder of the Clinical Pilates program at Bellarine Allied Health Group and since it’s opening in August 2015 it has grown enormously. Kate enjoys the challenge of creating specific and individualised programs and teaching classes for people of all ages. Kate finds the combination of Osteopathy and Clinical Pilates provides a more holistic approach to client’s care and wellbeing.
Kate provides Osteopathy and Pilates instruction from BAHG Ocean Grove Tuesday – Thursday and Osteopathy only from BAHG Point Lonsdale at Point Lonsdale Medical Group *
