Isabel qualified with a bachelor of Podiatric Medicine in 1992 from the University of Salford. Her career to date has seen her work in many health care organisations both in the UK and Australia, holding positions such as chief podiatrist at Swan Hill Hospital and a position in a high-risk foot clinic. She opened a successful private practice in Tasmania that she ran for six years with her husband until they merged with the my FootDr group in 2016.
She has been involved in supervising podiatry students and new graduates to the profession. Isabel is proficient in all areas of podiatry especially high-risk clients and wound care.
Isabel has been actively involved in giving talks and health education sessions to diabetics, the elderly and health professionals. Giving talks on falls and balance, diabetes and foot care. She has also been actively involved in school screenings for foot problems in children.
Her special interest is in biomechanics and orthotic manufacture, and has provided assessments for The Institute of Sport athletes, runners and treated various work related injuries. She is a preferred provider in this field.
Isabel is also learning to make shoes and is hoping to go on and train in pedorthics.
Isabel’s interests include spending time with her husband and two boys. She participates in natural horsemanship with her horses and Donkey.
