Gillian Needleman is a clinical psychologist with 20 years’ experience in public mental health and 15 years’ experience in private practice. She has worked across both private and public sector mental health services in a variety of senior roles. Gillian has worked extensively in areas of depression, anxiety, panic, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, addiction (drug, alcohol and gambling), eating disorders, sexual and relationship counselling, women’s health and menopause, and with personal crisis involving suicidal/self-harm behaviours. She regularly attends professional development to maintain knowledge in current research and therapeutic interventions to ensure clients receive the best in quality care. She utilises a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and narrative therapies to create an individualised service to assist people to move towards the changes they wish to make in their lives. Generous Medicare rebates are available for up to 12 sessions per year. She is also a member of APS Clinical College.
