Emma has been practicing psychology since 2003. She is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society, and the College of Sport Psychologists. Having completed a Masters in Applied Psychology at Victoria University in 2002, she accepted a two year position in the Performance Psychology Department at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. During this time she worked with a wide range of athletes and coaches, and travelled domestically and internationally to present sport psychology seminars and workshops. Her main work was as the team psychologist for the AIS Netball squad, AIS Women’s Basketball squad, and the AIS Women’s Gymnastics program. The role included performance enhancement, general counselling and crisis intervention. She has also worked in a variety of other areas of psychology including crisis support, health behaviour change, career coaching and drug and alcohol programs.

Aside from providing individual counselling, Emma consults to WestVic Academy of Sport and several other sporting bodies. She also consults to corporate clients in career transition, sport, fitness, and health areas, including corporate health and high performance, and lectures at Victoria University. Emma’s broad experience and practical approach can assist in all aspects of performance psychology, career coaching, and general counselling in the areas of stress, depression and anxiety.
