Deanna is a registered Paediatric Occupational Therapist who has been working with children for 14 years. She has worked in both the community, school and hospital settings in Brisbane and overseas in London with children aged 0 – 18 years with children with a variety of conditions and challenges. These include children who have complex physical and intellectual difficulties, congenital conditions, Autism, Developmental coordination disorders, Sensory processing problems, and other learning challenges relating to organisation and planning tasks. Deanna offers specialist assessment and treatment services in: School Readiness, Handwriting challenges, Learning problems, Sensory Challenges, Developmental concerns and behavioural challenges. Deanna is also a music therapist, and recently obtained her Master in Child Play Therapy Degree from Deakin University. Specialist Play Therapy is another specialist skill which may be beneficial for your child in addressing mental health concerns such as anxiety, worries, phobias, trauma, coping with divorce, grief and loss.
