Clare Calderwood is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about empowering people to effect change in their lives. She uses evidence-based treatment approaches in a kind and curious manner, and enjoys building a trusting, collaborative relationship with each of her clients. She has a particular interest in anxiety, excessive worry, sleep issues, depression, and adjustment to big life changes. Clare has clinical experience in a variety of settings, including school counselling, a specialist anxiety clinic, a hospital outpatient unit and a university psychology service. These experiences have honed her clinical skills and given her an appreciation for the diversity of human experience and the importance of understanding the unique strengths and challenges of each client. She has also tutored undergraduate psychology students in clinical psychology. Clare values research and has been involved in conducting a research study into treatment of anxiety disorders in children. Her research into the relation between emotion regulation strategies and hormones in adult women is currently under review for publication. Clare holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of NSW and a Bachelor degree in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Sydney. She is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and a registered Medicare provider.
