Hi, my name is Chloé MacDougall and I am the new podiatrist here at Atticus Health. I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, UK with a Bachelor in Science with honours in Podiatry. I then moved to Melbourne in 2012 in the hope of experiencing the "Aussie lifestyle". I have come to love Melbourne and now think of it as home.
Since graduating from university, I have worked in private practice allowing me to gain experience in all aspects of the podiatry profession. I love working as a podiatrist because I am in the position I can support, educate and play an active role in helping people feel better. I enjoy the variety that podiatry has to offer - everything from routine foot care to biomechanics, sports management, diabetic foot and wound care, paediatric podiatry and ingrown toenail removal/ surgery. I am also experienced in dry needling of the lower limb, which is an excellent tool in pain management as well as in injury rehabilitation and musculoskeletal conditions.
I am very excited about working with the the team at Atticus Health to build and grow podiatry here to make it an accessible resource for those who would benefit from it. I particularly look forward to providing a more unique service to the aged sector by offering a podiatry service to residents who need it for acute issues (wounds, ingrown toenails, etc) as well as when they require scheduled visits for routine foot care. A little bit about me personally - outside of work, I enjoy exercising, in particular running. I love spending quality time with friends and family and have a lovely furry baby called Pippa, who I adore (although she is a cat so she only likes me sometimes). I love to travel and I am slowly trying to make my way through my bucket list of destinations which always seems to be growing!
