Cherise is an enthusiastic and well skilled podiatrist, working from both our Ringwood and Knox locations. Cherise describes her favourite part of the profession as being able to meet new patients and then to send them home feeling as if they were walking on air. Cherise obtained a Bachelor of Science at The University of Melbourne, focussing on cell biology and biochemistry before working in the veterinary profession. She then went on to complete the combined Bachelor of Health Science and Masters in Podiatric Practice at La Trobe University. This gives Cherise a thorough understanding and keen interest in disease processes such as diabetes and the effects these have on the feet. Cherise has a particularly unique skill set when dealing with biomechanical issues, having worked extensively as a customised orthotic technician for a number of years prior to completing her podiatry studies. When she is not in the clinic, Cherise enjoys furthering her education in order to provide the best service to her patients, and competing with her horse, Cole.
