Alicia is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who completed her Masters at University of Melbourne in 2013, and is currently undertaking her Sports Masters at LaTrobe University (expected completion 2016). She is Head Physiotherapist for Cricket Victoria’s Women’s program and physiotherapist for the Melbourne Stars Women’s Big Bash League. Alicia is also Head Physiotherapist for Melbourne University Rugby Union Club. Alicia has worked for Hockey WA, for the Under 18’s men’s team, Hockey Victoria, for Under 15’s girls, as well as the Reclink Community Cup (AFL), Pacific Cup (rugby union), Borneo Rugby 7′s and Malaysia Cobra 10’s Rugby Tournaments.

Alicia is a clinical supervisor for Latrobe University’s Musculoskeletal Masters post-graduate program and Melbourne University’s Doctor of Physiotherapy program. She tutors on Spinal Level I and II courses for the Australian Physiotherapy Association and is on the MPA Victoria branch committee. Alicia also co-authors a physiotherapy blog with a colleague, www.raynersmale.com, aiming to improve the knowledge of physiotherapists in treating common and complex injuries.

Originally from Perth, Alicia completed her physiotherapy degree at Curtin University in 2009. She worked in private practice treating a multitude of spinal and sporting injuries before moving to Melbourne in 2013. Her special interests include sporting hip and groin injuries, lower back injuries and return to sport rehabilitation.
