Scott studied physiotherapy at Curtin University in Western Australia and graduated with distinction. He has since begun post-graduate studies and is currently completing his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.
Scott has recently moved to Melbourne after spending the past number of years working at busy sports physiotherapy practices in Perth. He enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and is dedicated to providing up to date, evidence based treatment techniques. He has a strong interest in exercise-based rehabilitation and has completed training in TRX suspension training and also rehabilitative Pilates through Polestar Pilates Australia. Scott has also completed training in Dry Needling.
Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Scott spent 6 years playing professional baseball in the United States with the Philadelphia Phillies and Oakland Athletics Baseball Organisations. As a result of his time spent in professional sport, Scott has developed a keen interest in the management of sporting injures and gained valuable first hand experience in returning athletes back to their pre-injury levels. Scott’s extensive background in baseball has given him a unique skillset when assessing and treating the throwing athlete and he has been a preferred provider of physiotherapy to Baseball WA’s high performance program.
Away from the practice Scott is still a current pitcher with the Australian National team and also with the Perth Heat in the Australian Baseball League. Scott has also been a specialist throwing and fielding coach for the Western Warriors and Perth Scorchers for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons.
