Robert completed an Exercise and Sports Science degree at Sydney University in 2001 and worked as an exercise physiologist prescribing strength and rehabilitation programs. Robert then completed a Masters in Physiotherapy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2004. Robert has recently commenced a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.
Robert has worked in a variety of settings since completing his physiotherapy studies and is currently working as a Rehabilitation Co-Ordinator for NSW Institute of Sport Netball athletes. He spent the first 2 years at Liverpool hospital working in ICU, rehabilitation, and Brain Injury. Robert has spent the last 5 years working in private clinics with a large focus on sports injury and rehabilitation.
Robert has worked with a number of sporting teams, including Macarthur Rams Soccer Club - 2005, Picton Rangers Football Club - 2006, Coogee Dolphins Rugby League Club – 2008-2010, and recently Koalas Football Club who compete in the North West Sydney Women’s Football competition. Robert has a keen interest in running performance and injury management and is currently working with a number of Australian track and field representatives in preparation for World Championships and Olympic Games.
Robert has extensive experience in treating low back pain, hip, knee, ankle and shoulder injuries. His treatment approach is based on identifying functional/biomechanical deficits and correcting these issues to prevent recurrent injury and improve function/performance. He implements a number of treatment methods, including, massage, muscle energy techniques, dry needling, strengthening and functional retraining.
Robert previously competed in track and field and represented NSW at national championships in the 100m, 200m, long jump and triple jump.
