Dr Rice is a graduate of The University of Adelaide and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr Rice is in private practice in Canberra (since 2012) and Moruya (since 2010), returning to Australia after working in the UK for ten years, gaining a wide range of experience as a General/Vein Surgeon.
Dr Rice is a member of a number of surgical societies and a foundation member of the BreastSurgANZ subspecialty group of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He was the director of the Breast Unit at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, and honorary specialist to the Breast Unit in Winchester in the UK.
