John completed his Bachelor of Health Science, Master of Podiatric Practice (B.HSc & M.Pod.Prac) at La Trobe University and is currently undertaking his Masters in Applied Science (Research) with his focus being on strength in the lower limb.
His main area of interest is assessing and managing sporting and mechanical based injuries. John also enjoys working with children and performing nail surgeries. Currently, John is the podiatrist with the Dandenong Stingrays and Eastern Ranges TAC Cup teams as well as working with various other sporting teams and organisations.
John has a background in strength and conditioning, having owned a fitness centre for 7.5 years. John also danced professionally for almost 10 years, travelling mostly through South East Asia performing in various small shows.
He has also spent a number of years working part time in a specialist athletic footwear shop giving him a very good understanding of footwear and the footwear needs of athletes and the general population.
He has since come to study and enjoy working with the foot. John has lived with Diabetes Type 1 and enjoys being able to relate his experience of Diabetes with his patients.
He believes this gives him more practical and thorough understanding of the challenges that comes with living with the disease.
Podiatry is covered by private health rebates for patients with extras cover. GP referrals are welcomed for EPC and DVA patients and the appropriate rebates apply.
