The Melrose Medical Centre moved to a new custom built facility in February 2014 with the old centre being used by the visiting allied health professionals. The key was first turned for the new building on the 12th March 2014. The whole town was so eager for the new medical centre that the first few months were a whirlwind ride of emotions. The centre has become a medical hub for the community. Melrose Street Medical Centre is friendly and approachable practice offering extensive medical services by a professional team of doctors, nurses and visiting specialists.

The doctors work alongside the Aboriginal Medical Service to provide primary care in ‘Condo’ and provide on call rights to the hospital. The hospital is due to undergo an extensive renovation program of the existing emergency department.
