For the past 20-years I have worked in diverse roles and settings, including: academic lecturer, trainer, researcher, consultant, and clinical psychologist in private practice. I work in community, clinical and forensic settings. I was previously employed as the Lead Psychologist at ACON (Aids Council of NSW) Australia’s largest community-based LGBTI and HIV health promotion agency.  I continue to work closely with the LGBTIQ community in Northern NSW, including expertise in working within a trans-positive framework. Additionally, for most of my career I have specialised in working with youth (16-28 years). As well as working with young adults presenting with anxiety and depression, I am the Australian Master Trainer and Quality Assurance Specialist for Aggression Replacement Training (ART). As such, I have expertise in working with aggressive/antisocial and difficult to engage youth. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, drawing on several evidence-based therapies, all of my practice is informed by mindfulness principles aimed at fostering an open awareness of the value of living in the present moment without getting stuck in fixed narratives based on past experience or future imaginings.
