Qualifications: Graduated from Macquarie University Masters of Applied Psychology in 1995. Since that time have worked in a number of different areas of psychology however the last 8 years in private practice focussing upon assisting people struggling with depression, anxiety and other personal issues. I have attended a large amount of professional development activities throughout Australia and overseas in order to receive and maintain up-to-date professional skills in order to benefit the people I see. Approach to Therapy: My clinical experience and training is extensive and diverse, aliowing me to individualiy tailor treatment plans to clients. I am trained in Cognitve Behavioural Therapy principles and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and largely draw upon strategies from both these areas, depending upon client needs. I also draw heavily upon strategies from Interpersonal Therapy where needed to enhance therapeutic outcomes. I very much believe in working with clients in a coliaborative manner to establish treatment plans that can empower clients to make the changes they feel are needed in order to live a rich, valuable and meaningful life.
