Jo is a registered psychologist with a Masters of Psychology degree in Counselling Psychology. She has a background and a passion with working with adolescents as well as experience with adults, young adults and families across the lifespan. Jo is trained and experienced in utilising a range of psychological treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy as well as Existential, Attachment and Psychodynamic based approaches.
Jo recognises the deeply individual nature of psychological treatment, and brings an understanding that “one size does not fit all”. Her focus is on establishing a strong therapeutic and collaborative relationship with her clients, alongside evidence based psychological treatment that considers both a person’s psychological needs, and their personal style and preferences.
Jo is experienced in assessment and treatment of a range of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, self-injury and addiction with particular experience and research interests in 'at risk' behaviour, panic disorder and perfectionism.
