Jaya is a registered psychologist with AHPRA. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and Masters in Clinical Psychology at Australian Catholic University (ACU). She completed her undergraduate degree at Monash University. Jaya has a strong belief that all humans have intrinsic value and worth and seeks to work with clients to realise their own worth. Jaya works with Children, Adolescents and Young Adults focusing on dealing with their mental health concerns and emphasising their strengths. Jaya has experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Binge Eating Disorder and Bulimia Nervosa, Body-Image concerns, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Tic Disorders, Social Skills Training, Social Concerns and Bullying, School Concerns and Low Motivation, Emotion Regulation, Anger Management, Perfectionism and Self-Esteem. Jaya also works with parents of Fussy Eaters from ages 2-6 years of age. Jaya uses a strength-based approach in therapy drawing on skills from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Person Centred Counselling. Therapy is tailored based on the unique and individual needs of each client and this is decided in a collaborative manner. Jaya is available on Mondays and Saturdays at the Wheelers Hill office.
