Ian Clark (Psychologist)

Ian is a registered Psychologist with over 25 years working in the social welfare sector and has experience in work with the homeless, young people, women escaping family violence and with male perpetrators of family violence, individuals with drug and alcohol issues, anxiety, depression, and child and family services. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and is a registered health care provider.

Ian believes it is essential to the therapeutic process to provide a warm, safe, and non-judgemental environment in which to carefully explore ways to help people to make positive changes in their lives. Ian works with clients dealing with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship / family concerns, and mood disorders. He has particular experience in the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused therapy, and often integrates concepts from Family Systems theory.
