She is especially passionate about supporting individuals to think, behave and live congruently with their core values and purposes.  Booking an appointment with Francesca is quick and confidential through our online booking page or by phone with our client support team on (07) 5479 3538. Recently Francesca provided extensive training on the subject of treating complex trauma for the staff of an international anti-trafficking/sex slavery organization (A21) in Greece. She is experienced and very passionate about treating difficulties associated with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) including what the scientific research refers to as “Complex Trauma,” in which an individual has had a history of prolonged exposure to multiple traumas usually in the context of interpersonal dependence commencing at a developmentally vulnerable age e.g. longstanding child sexual abuse. She is educated in the effect complex trauma has on the development of the brain, as well as social, emotional and psychological disruptions and susceptibility to co-occurring disorders. In addition, Francesca is experienced in assisting males of all ages, empowering them to change unhealthy behaviour, improve self-worth and relationships and make better life choices. As well as working with individuals, Francesca also offers marriage, couples and relationship counselling for couples experiencing difficulties. Francesca places utmost importance on cultivating a respectful and safe space for individuals and couples to explore their challenges whilst encouraging the development of insight into their functioning, equipping them with the strategies to overcome difficulties and empowering them to strive for a fulfilling and meaningful life.  Francesca is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is endorsed as a clinical psychologist. She is also recognized as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist by Medicare Australia and is a professional member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has participated in advanced training for Schema Therapy and has an interest in developing her skills further in this model.
