As Director of Nuclear Medicine at Healthcare Imaging Services, Dr Zita Ballok brings a wealth of local and international experience and world-class training to Bridge Road Imaging.

Dr Ballok completed her nuclear medicine and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) training at Austin Hospital and subsequently completed a fellowship program at the Nuclear Medicine and PET Centre in Ann Arbor, at the University of Michigan. During her fellowship, she gained extensive experience in oncology and neurology PET Imaging and general nuclear medicine imaging under the supervision of Professor David Kuhl, a leading pioneer of brain imaging. Dr Ballok is also the co-author of a number of published scientific papers in collaboration with colleagues in multiple specialties, including orthopaedic surgery, thoracic surgery, oncology, urology, neuro-surgery and endocrinology. She was also the convenor of the highly successful 35th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine held in Melbourne. Ever since her return to Australia, Dr Ballok has been lobbying to establish PET Imaging and is excited to have this available at Bridge Road Imaging.
