Dr Xu graduated from medical school in 2003 and worked as Urology trainee in China until 2008. Moving to Australia, he obtained Master of Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Sydney in 2010. Since then, he worked as an Emergency doctor at Latrobe Regional Hospital, Angliss Hospital, and Canberra Hospital. Dr Xu finished his GP training in 2017 and relocated back from Gippsland to Melbourne.
