Dr Young Yu is a Chinese – Australian cardiologist with bilingual and bi-cultural strengths. Dr Yu pursued a demanding PhD at the Royal Prince Alfred hospital funded by the National Heart Foundation in translational medicine, developing a non-clotting surface for cardiovascular devices. At the prestigious Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre in Boston, Dr Yu honed his skills in complex and challenging stenting cases with world leaders in the field.
Upon his return from the USA in 2015 Dr Yu has been providing high quality clinical care to his patients. He is also developing a strong reputation among both local and visiting Chinese patients. Establishing a platform for provision of medical services to the growing ‘health tourism’ sector, Dr Yu frequently visits Shanghai, building and strengthening relationships with business and medical leaders.
