Dr Brown is an independent General Practitioner working full time at Mermaid Beach Medical Centre. He has been at our practice since January 2009 and enjoys providing medical services to families and the broader community.
Dr Brown has been a GP for 28 years. He studied at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Dr Brown started off in hospital practice in South Africa for 10 years practicing in all disciplines, and held the position of Chief Medical Officer. He has completed a Diploma in Anaesthetics – DA (SA) and a Diving Medical Certificate, theatre work, small surgery and anaesthetics.
Dr Brown has since been in full time private practice doing GP consultations and small procedures for male and female patients of all ages. He completed his Fellowship at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in July 2011 and qualified as a Specialist General Practitioner. Dr Brown cares for his patients to the best of his ability and will always help and guide them and refer to other Specialists when necessary.
