Dr Anell graduated from University of Western Australia in 1981. After graduating, he spent three years in the RAAF and then another two years in rotational training including obstetrics & gynaecology in various hospitals in Perth.
From 1987 to 1992 Dr Anell worked as a country doctor in the Pilbara region, gaining experience in obstetrics, paediatrics, surgery and trauma. In Perth between 1992 and 2011, he practiced family medicine, including men’s health, minor surgery, travel medicine and as a surgical assistant.
Transferring to Sydney in 2011, Dr Anell was involved in a large medical practice, gaining further experience in travel medicine. After returning from Sydney he joined a private family practice in Perth, with specific focus on family medicine, men’s health, travel medicine and skin lesions.
