Mr Wei-Han Tay is a Melbourne Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in the treatment of foot, ankle and shoulder conditions and general trauma. He consults and operates in the east, north and inner city.
Wei-Han obtained his undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2005. He commenced his basic surgical training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2007, during which he was also an anatomy demonstrator at the University of Melbourne and studied a Post Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy. In 2008, he devoted a year to full-time clinical research as part of his Master of Surgery.
Wei-Han completed his advanced surgical training in orthopaedic surgery in New South Wales, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and as a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) in 2016. He subsequently spent another 12 months undertaking AOA-accredited fellowships to gain further expertise and experience in his chosen sub-specialties. This included a foot and ankle fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and a shoulder fellowship at Western Health in Melbourne.
