Dr Wayne Childs undertook his training through Monash University where he obtained his medical degree in 2002. His internship and medical residency was at the Geelong Hospital. He then did his General Medical and Advanced Cardiology training through Eastern Health at Box Hill Hospital.
More recently he has completed a Non-invasive imaging fellowship at Monash Heart with advanced training in Echo and Cardiac CT.
He has also been undertaking clinical research at the Baker IDI and Alfred Heart centre as part of an ongoing PhD focussing on Lipidomics in cardiovascular disease.
