Dr. Wai-ee Thai is a cardiologist specializing in non-invasive cardiac imaging (echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging). She graduated from Medicine at Monash University with honours and completed her advanced cardiology and further specialist training in echocardiography at Monash Heart, Southern Health. She underwent a post doctoral non-invasive cardiac imaging fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston USA in cardiac CT and MRI. In conjunction with her clinical work, Dr. Thai's research interest lies in the use of non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques to assess myocardial structure and function. She has presented her research both at national and international scientific conferences and has multiple publications in cardiology and radiology peer reviewed journals.
