Having completed cardiology training overseas in 2001, Dr Venkatachalam was a consultant cardiologist overseas and did his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Townsville and Westmead Hospital, as well as the QEII Hospital in Halifax, Canada. Dr Venkatachalam has extensive interventional experience here and abroad. He regularly performs coronary angiograms and angioplasty procedures, and is proficient in both femoral and radial approach techniques. Dr Venkatachalam conducts and reports on a wide range of diagnostic tests including ECG, Holter, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, Rest & Stress Echocardiography. He also performs complex interventions involving Rotablation, Intra-vascular Ultrasound, Pressure Wire Studies, Transoesophageal Echocardiograms and Cardioversions.
