Dr Vijaya completed her undergraduate training in India. In United Kingdom she underwent her post graduate training and gained her MRCGP( Member of Royal College of General Practitioners). She worked in UK for 11 years and had experience in different medical specialties including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery and Orthopedics. Before moving to Australia, she was working in Corby Community hospital where she was providing care for chronic diseases like Diabetes, COPD, Asthma and care of elderly. She has also worked in Corby urgent care providing Emergency services. She was trained in contraceptive implants and coils. Her interests include mother and child health, elderly care and chronic disease management. Dr Vijaya is also a trilingual speaker in English, Telugu and Hindi.
