After finishing Medical School in Queensland, Dr Venu Bhamidi (Bhamidipaty) completed his specialist Vascular Surgical training through Perth, Melbourne, Auckland and Toronto, Canada. He then returned to Auckland as a Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon at Auckland City Hospital. After spending almost a decade in Auckland, Dr. Bhamidi was recruited to Gold Coast & appointed as the Director of Vascular Surgery at Gold Coast University Hospital in 2021.Dr. Bhamidi has served as the Assistant Specialty Editor (Vascular Surgery) for the ANZ Journal of Surgery & in 2018 was the Scientific Convener of the ANZ Society of Vascular Surgery meeting.
Dr. Bhamidi’s practice involves all aspects of vascular surgery including open and minimally invasive (endovascular) therapies for carotid, aortic, upper and lower limb vascular disease as well as endovenous varicose veins treatment. He has a sub-specialty interest in Complex Endovascular treatment of Aortic Aneurysms and Diabetic peripheral arterial disease/foot wounds.
