Dr Naicker grew up and trained in South Africa, migrating to Australia in 2005. She has extensive experience with women's health and mental health.
Dr Vasantha Naicker known as Vasie, has 30 years experience as a family practitioner.
She has qualified in South Africa with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree and as a specialist with Medical college of Family Medicine South Africa. In 2006 she obtained Fellowship of Royal College of General Practice in Australia and has been practising at The Gap since.
She enjoys all areas of family medicine from babies to elderly, and has a special interest in mental health, women’s health, geriatric health and palliative care.
She is aligned with Mater Mothers Antenatal Care and RBH antenatal care.
She is happy to do procedures such as implanon insertion, skin cancer surgery and other minor office procedures.

She has a husband, Lenny who own an electrical business and 2 daughters Saiyuri who is a molecular biologist at PA hospital and Dhe who is a civil and environmental engineer.
In her spare time Dr Vasie Naicker is an active member of The Sathya Sai Baba Organisation which undertakes various social service programs locally and internationally. Close to her heart is an ongoing human values education/ leadership program for the teens and young adults, which she commits her weekends to.
She is an avid reader, loves gardening and cooking
