Zac,as he is fondly known, has worked in the hills since 2007. Having taken over from the the previous owners in 2009,he has himself brought in a wide range of expertise in all facets of medicine, not to mention the skills brought in by the team of doctors who have joined Upwey Doctors since.
Dr.Zachariah graduated from the Royal College as a GP having trained in various clinics across Gippsland. He has expertise in minor surgeries and enjoys doing emergencies as they come along, the latter being due to his extensive years spent working in emergency departments across NSW and Victoria.
He has also completed additional training in paediatrics where he holds a Diploma in Child Health and also a Certificate in Minor Surgeries by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. The skills acquired in surgeries enables him to do most minor surgeries in the clinic without the need for referral, including tongue tie surgery in new born babies. In addition,he enjoys doing skin cancer care.
Zac is a family man with two great kids. He loves his Christian faith and is passionate about working with people and families. Apart from work, he is a fitness enthusiast and loves running, cycling, squash and plays soccer for the Eltham Eagles Soccer Club.
