Originally from Canada, Trevor completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Health Physiology at the University of Calgary in 2006. Finding his way to a warmer climate, he then graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Wollongong, and subsequently commenced employment with the South Eastern Sydney Area Health Network. Here he gained valuable experience in Orthopaedic Surgery, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, General and Emergency Medicine. In 2014 Trevor moved to Byron Bay and entered General Practice, while simultaneously working as Visiting Medical Officer in both the inpatient medicine unit and the emergency department at the Byron Central Hospital. Trevor is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has completed additional post graduate qualifications in emergency medicine, paediatrics and sports medicine. He remains actively involved with the University of Queensland’s graduate sports medicine program and has experience caring for elite athletes from distance running, triathlon, surfing, rugby league, AFL, basketball and surf lifesaving. He has a particular interest in the role of ultrasound guided injectable therapies in the management of musculoskeletal injuries.
