Dr Tin Mi Mi Kyaw studied medicine in Myanmar (Burma). She migrated to Australia in 2013 after working as a GP for over 10 years in Myammar. Since moving to Melbourne Dr Kyaw furthered her skills and knowledge as a Skin Cancer Specialist and General Family Doctor Having grown up in a family that owned a 24 hour clinic, as well as owning her own clinic in the past Dr Tin bring to the community a high level of Medicine and Clinical Knowledge and is highly capable to manage a variety of cases, including emergency and continual care for chronic diseases Her areas of special interests include; 1. Chronic Disease Management – including Diabetes, Heart Disease, Joint disease, liver, kidney, bowel and has done further studies in the UK in the area of cardiology 2. Surgery – Dr Tin learned surgery from a young age as her father was a dedicated Surgeon, he trained her to have good surgical skills, and she enjoys using those skills in skin cancer surgery, making sure patients are happy with minimal scarring in her work. 3. Women’s health – being a mother and a lady, Dr Tin is interested to take care of pregnancies in Antenatal and post natal visits, to see different women health issues 4. Paediatric – Having a young child of her own, Dr Tin loves children and enjoys Paediatrics 5. Geriatric – as a founder of “Geriatric Medical Clinic “ in Burma, where she worked hard to ensure free and accessible medical services for patients, Dr Tin loves Geriatric cases and visiting Nursing Home Patients 6. Mental health – Dr Tin is confident in counselling and giving support to all sorts of mental health issues 7. Orthopaedics – including simple fractures and different bone and joint problems.
