Dr Tim Isaacs has been providing ophthalmic care to patients in Perth and Western Australia for over 20 years. He completed medical school at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, and trained as an ophthalmologist in London at the Western Ophthalmic and Moorfields Eye Hospitals. He underwent training in vitreoretinal surgery in Perth, and has served as Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital since 2002. Dr Isaacs has a special interest in ocular oncology, and manages the majority of patients in Western Australia diagnosed with eye tumours. In 2014 he introduced the technique of prognostic tumour biopsy in patients with choroidal melanoma in Perth. He is a member of the International Society of Ocular Oncologists, and is a speaker at international conferences of ocular oncology.
