Assoc. Professor Day studied medicine at the University of Melbourne, then trained in Neurology at Royal Melbourne Hospital and in Western Australia. He undertook specialist training in EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies at the Mayo Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital in USA. He returned to Australia after his training and worked for many years in Western Australia, before moving back to Victoria. He held a senior role at Monash Medical Centre, and in the last five years he has worked at Royal Melbourne Hospital where he is the supervisor of neurophysiology training. He is widely regarded as one of Australia’s best Clinical Neurophysiologists.

Assoc. Professor Day began consulting at Melbourne Neurology Group in 2013. Specific areas of interest include nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography(EMG) with an emphasis on diagnosis of common and also complex neuromuscular disorders, including peripheral neuropathies, muscle disease, myasthenia and nerve injuries. This includes carpel tunnel syndrome, and other nerve conditions.
