Dr Janani has more than ten years experience in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Anaesthesia and General Practice. She has also completed part 1 MD anaesthesiology and has obtained the Mental Health Skills Training Certificate from ACRRM.

Dr Janani has a special interest in undertaking research related to Women’s Health and Mental Health, and is fluent in Tamil and Sinhale.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and engaging in social activities. She is a volunteer teacher at Brisbane Tamil School and is very interested in Tamil and English literature. Dr Janani also has a special interest in eastern classical music and dance, plays the Veena and has her own collection of poems.
