Dr Tariqul Islam graduated from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh in 1991. Following his graduation, he migrated to New Zealand where he worked in hospitals across Wellington before moving to Sydney in 2000. Tariqul completed his specialty training in paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology before moving into general practice and settling at the Gold Coast. He completed his fellowship in general practice in 2012, and is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners as well as a supervisor for the GP registrar program. Tariqul has a particular interest in many areas of general medicine including men's and women's health, paediatrics, skin cancer medicine, skin and cosmetic conditions, occupational health and travel medicine. When he is not busy with work, Tariqul enjoys watching cricket.
