Dr Tapash Bakshi MBBS FRACP FCSANZ PhD is an interventional cardiologist with expertise in percutaneous coronary interventions and CT coronary angiography. Dr Bakshi has been with SA Heart since 2007.
Dr Bakshi graduated from Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh in 1985 and pursued his postgraduate training in Cardiology at the Ukrainian Strazhesko Research Institute of Cardiology, Kiev, Ukraine. In 1994 he was awarded his PhD in Medicine.
Dr Bakshi joined Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand before transferring to Greenlane Hospital Auckland, NZ where he completed his Advanced Cardiology training in 2004. He was awarded clinical fellowship in Interventional cardiology at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada, in association with the University of British Columbia and in 2004 Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
In early 2007 Dr Bakshi completed advanced training in CT coronary angiography in White Plains, New York, USA.
