Dr Tamsin Coutts graduated in 2000 from the University of Nottingham, UK. After completion of house jobs she spent 18 months working in Australia - Perth and Townsville before returning to Scotland to continue training. She initially harboured ambitions to be a Geriatrician so worked in Edinburgh gaining MRCP (UK), but once she realised she enjoyed looking after patients of all ages she changed over to General Practice. She spent time training in Paediatrics, gaining a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), and continues to enjoy looking after children. She then spent 7 years working in General Practice in Central Scotland before moving to Australia with her young family. Tamsin has a number of varied interests including those outlined above, Women’s Health, Family Planning and Sexual Health and is fully trained in the insertion of IUDs and Implanons.
