I completed my studies at UWA and then my residency years at Fremantle Hospital.

After gaining my Fellowship in General Practice I have spent many years practicing in the Fremantle area. I have significant experience in all areas of general practice and offer a holistic approach to patient care from women’s health to aged-care and chronic disease management.

My special interest is child health and I have a Diploma of Child Health and my particular areas of expertise include the neonatal period with sleep, feeding and attachment issues. I offer a practical and empathic approach to unsettled babies and those testing first weeks after taking your newborn home. Our practice nurses can assist the transition by offering a safe environment for the early immunisations and monitoring babies weight and growth parameters as required.

Developmental assessments and management of developmental disorders including ASD is also an interest of mine and I am well equipped for the initial consultation for any parent who has concerns about their child’s development. I am a firm believer in early intervention and well-resourced for early referrals and involvement of allied health.

We at GPs on Bayview will always offer on the day appointments to any child who is unwell and I enjoy management of general child health and acute infectious illnesses.

I am a Youth Friendly certified GP with further education and training in all aspect of adolescent physical and mental health.

Nutritional and environmental medicine is another key interest of mine. I am a member of ACNEM with further training in nutritional medicine related to all ages of childhood health and wellness. I offer a holistic approach to all aspects of child health and am very comfortable combing a more traditional medical approach with aspects of my nutritional studies. I have recently completed an ACNEM course specifically related to nutrition throughout pregnancy, neonatal period, early childhood and adolescence.

I am fortunate to have 4 children of my own and combine my general practice with a busy family schedule. My weekends are spent at the beach or river with my kids. I have a love of yoga and have great plans to increase my practice – I just need to find that extra hour in the day!
