Dr Seneviratne is an Australian qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who underwent undergraduate training at Monash University. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2003 and together with Mr Mark Baldwin established Northern Plastic Surgery in 2007.
She is currently the Head of Plastic, Maxillofacial and Hand Surgery Unit at the Northern Hospital in addition to working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and operates privately at Cotham Private, Frances Perry House, St Vincents Private, Kew and John Fawkner Private Hospitals. She also provides a Consultative service at Melbourne Private, Epworth and St Vincents Hospital, East Melbourne.
Dr Seneviratne has a interest in research and education having taught at both Melbourne University and Stanford University, California, USA as Tutor in Anatomy in addition to having enrolled in a MD degree at Melbourne University.
She has recently been appointed as a Honorary Clinical Fellow, Department of Surgery, Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Dr Seneviratne has a special interest in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery in addition to skin cancer surgery, hand surgery and cosmetic surgery of the face.
