Dr. Suat Chin Ng is a colorectal surgeon who is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) and member of the Section of Colorectal Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). She attained her General Surgical Fellowship of the RACS in 2018 and completed a Masters degree in Colorectal Surgery.

She underwent extensive training in the field of Colorectal surgery (in both traditional and minimally invasive surgery); having completed a year of fellowship in pelvic floor and colorectal research at Eastern Health, a year at the renowned Oncology / Exenterative Centre at Christchurch Hospital, New Zealand, and a third year of colorectal fellowship in complex inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and oncology at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne.

She is involved in multidisciplinary meetings for the management of both colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, and works closely with her oncology and gastroenterology colleagues. She has a special interest in surgical education, global health (with experience in Nepal) and is currently involved in multi-centred surgical research.

Currently, Dr Ng is a consultant Colorectal surgeon at Eastern Health and St Vincent’s Health. She also consults and operate privately at the Epworth Eastern Hospital and Waverley Private Hospital.
